Door Card Top Edge Trim?
Morning all,
I have bought some new front door cards (genuine LR ones) for my new Puma style doors. I have noticed that the new door cards dont have the piece of edging trim along the top edge that my old ones had (can be seen in this picture as the black plastic trim on the rear edge https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PH36mQZaPE0/Wzn...25618.jpg)

This piece of trim is not shown on the parts diagrams for either the older or later door cards. Can anyone confirm if this part was only present on the older style door cards and not the later ones please?

Cheers,

May have to do this piecemeal...

I know my 200tdi, 300tdi and TD5 with grey door cards had/have the black trim you are referring to. Perhaps some Puma owners could do the same Thumbs Up

My 2015 one doesn’t have them. It does feel somewhat unfinished… Dave

Blimey, that's a bit posh. Not fitted to my 2010 either.

Thanks all, that is a shame as the newer cards look a little unfinshed without it. Maybe i will look at something like this:

Well you can always upgrade the door cards with some U-channel - https://edgetrims.co.uk/product/u-channel-edge-trim-4mm-x-10mm/

I am also on the look out for these profiles. Unfortunately the ones linked above are all rubber. The originals were harder plastic with somewhat sharper edges. Worse case I would have to fabricate from some acetal. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
