Full Respray D90 in progress
So finally after 19 months driving the White 90, it is time for my desired colour change.
Did order specific the Fuji White solid because I didn't want a metallic.
Will stay on a solid color, 2K paint from Glasurit 22 serie

Made arrangements with my body shop that I will do the full stripping and rebuild.
So basically they do the sanding, masking, full Respray of the car and all parts that need body color.
They will pick up the car on a trailer to and from the body shop.

Started with the 4 inner wheel liners / wheel arches. ( Managed to get them all out whitout breaking)

Checklist / things to be done first before further dismantling:

1. Electronic Parking Brake in maintenance mode and connectors off.
2. Charging the Battery full.
3. Windows half open
4. Rear door open.
5. Winch lined out 3ft.
6. InControl in maintenance setting
7. Electronic steering Lock in Free and direct after Battery power Cut off.
8. Automatic in recovery mode neutral under the bonnet.

So now it is possible to push or tow, roll and steer.

Removing cladding outside & underside. Clips will break ,24 pcs a side
Removing doorcard, window/glass, inner seal, handle, locks, wireloom, outerseal, Mirror
Removing front and rear skid/bumper, Lights, small parts, seals.
Removing all parts from the rear door and the rear bumper armature.
Removing Fenders, stripping everything inside bonnet/hood/Cowl.
Removing the residu from the glued outerseal with a flap foil eraser and punching the exact line for the new outerseal.

Must admit I do prefer a solid body colour, a shame LR don’t offer more. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Ask the painters to keep the remainder of paint for you. It stores well in a properly sealed container in a cool place. You can also put it in spray cans for custom colours, used to do it myself, & a bit in an old nail varnish bottle for touching up stone chips. Hope you never need to use it. Visitor - Freelander owner

Amazing job so far! Very eager to see how it all turns out. Out of curiosity, how long did the strip down take you? At my rate, I'm thinking "two weekends"!

It did take around 40hrs. , 2.5 weeks in spare time . But I have done it slow try to keep everything reuseable, preparing , cleaning, labeling direct for assembling again. Lost 'only' 46 clips ( LR112137) and 2 from the checkered bonnet plates.
Most time consuming was the puncture/ punching with my Automatic punch for the correct line for the new outerseals.

Thx for the suggestion, this is a 2 component paint. As soon as mixed with the Harder only a short time open for application. But I did buy some spray paint cans in 2k, max. 24 hours working time.

I will do some spraying under the innershields/ liners, can't stand it when in extended offroad mode see some White. No Mud flaps for my 90.!

All thanks, Saturday the car will be returned, rebuild time to be expected 2 weeks.
Yes the colour is HFU 799 Keswick Green / Glasurit formula - as original possible. ( Many variations )

It may be a safe choice, but I like it with White roof. ( Respray to limestone can be a thing of the future )

Let's wait untill it's finished No Mud flaps for my 90.!
