Remote App Constant Request for Download
Hi,

Remote app worked for for 18 months but then stated "newer version available please download" (or similar words!). Download new version, next time open app, new download required and on it goes.

I notice on google play store reviews state the same issue, anyone here experienced it and more importantly solved it please?

Yes I have that, it comes and it goes, without doing update.

Only had the vehicle a few months and was updated in late Oct, by me.

This week it wants another update !!

I just ignore it.

Thanks for the quick reply, being very dumb how do you ignore it as all I get on the screen is the download option? Apolgies if I am missing the obvious!

Press the (soft) NOT NOW button.

I live in the sticks with poor EE reception and can't guarantee a signal for 45mins.
So I have to wait, go somewhere when the vehicle is parked and I have 1/ good reception 2/ not need the vehicle for an hour.

Thanks again. OK, my request keeps appearing on my mobile, are you saying the request is in the Defender?

Same here with signal/broadband so have to drive around until I get a mobile signal!

It is becoming really annoying, as cannot check the car is locked etc on the app due to the constant loop of download requests.

I think LR Nuts may be referring to the software on the car, the old app was discontinued and you were forced to move to the new app on IOS. I downloaded the new app but continued using the old one until it would no longer work and you had to use the new one. Maybe somebody on Android can tell you the correct app version to make sure you have downloaded the newest version. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Thanks Hairy Dan and LR Nuts for the replies. Never seen anything in the car itself only the mobile android app.

Hopefully someone who uses android and experienced the same will come along soon!

The dealer (who currently have the car fitting new cameras and sensors units which failed) says nothing to do with LR must be android!
