Slowly getting there with my new Defender….:-)
After arriving a year ago my new Defender is getting ready for my overlanding trips. First wrapped the car and drove it to England for some upgrades (activation of adaptive cruise control, paddle shift, dynamic drive, installing black roof rack and ladder)

Installed a winch at the front and upgraded to Goodyear Duratrac tires. Installed a roof awning and made an heating system for the rooftop awning. Then started to the design a second battery setup. Next weekend testing it out again in Slovakia.

Looking good. I want do a similar dual battery set up. Are you able to share the measurements of the wooden platform at all?

I was tempted with this but with shipping, duty and VAT it's a tad expensive. Neat though.

Thanks for that. It's really helpful. I'm going to fit another AGM battery under the bonnet as well as a second dual purpose back up for the main starter. I'm also going to fit the Lensun bonnet solar panel to help charge everything.

I'm also thinking of getting a small portable battery station with solar to give a bit more flexibility when camping. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.
