Just returned from a weeks camping in the Defender, starting the trip with the Billing Off-road show.
Very glad I sorted the wipers as the weather was awful until Lancashire then out came the sun! The show was great as always but the dust caused a few folk some health problems that could have been sorted with dampening down of parts of the track. Nice to see the traders and the ever increasing number of converters with their take on a 110 camper, not so keen on the prices mind ![]() We then move onto the Cotswolds staying next door to Clarksons Farm and the little shop, and yes we went to his pub as well… hopefully the merch and beer sales will keep the farm ticking over. The Defender developed a squeak under load and various experiments with WD40 on pulleys and pumps revealed its one of them…. Just not which one yet. The belt looks good so I’m guessing idler or tensioners to start then maybe look at getting the water and power steering pumps changed if it continues. Over to west Wales for my wife’s birthday and the campsite had pitches with hot tubs, very plush. Now back in the Lakes and again, I’m glad the wipers are working ![]() One thing I did note on the travels..how much nicer the 110 rides compared to the 90. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 2009 90 commercial. 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled. 2002 Range Rover G4 Event car (Australian leg) 2008 Discovery 3 G4 UK Selections car 1968 Series 2a |
