United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Indus Silver
Cruise Control
So...with the recent purchase of a 2015 XS Utility station wagon the obvious next step is to look at ways to spend my money on it. With a plan to go to the Alps next spring (and remembering an ad for a nice 110 CSW on here) I thought a cruise control system would be a good idea.

There seem to be various systems available but I purchased from canm8.com, this is the cheapest available at about £200 plus VAT and postage. In a world of everything seeming very expensive (apart from Tesco food delivery) I thought that this was a very sensible price.

The instructions come emailed and although they included colour pictures and diagrams a couple of steps required a bit of thinking. Pulling a wire through the bulkhead to the clutch switch was fiddley and one step was to connect to the red/black wire from the instrument cluster, there are two red/black wires and no way of determining which one was correct (of course, with a 50/50 chance I picked the wrong wire and had to change it over).

The job took around 2 hours and for time and outlay I am very pleased with how much more usable my Defender will be.

Tidy
Been meaning to fit CC to mine, can you confirm if the control arm for the model you fitted can be located on the RHS of the steering column
Cheers

The control arm for this system would be upside down if fitted on the right side but would still operate correctly. I did originally want it on the right but other kits are alot more money and now it is done I think it is neater and less in the way on the left. Good luck.

Just fitted the same one to our 2012 110 and am very happy so far!
However I did find there are 4 red/black cables - so trial and error before finding the right one ! and note that the accelerator peddle has no captive nuts on so you need to have a spanner on both sides to remove.
Apart from that it was all with in my limited capabilities

Oh that looks cool. That's definitely a feature that I was missing during my last trip. Thank you for the share Thumbs Up

Any drilling involved during setup process? Where/how the arm is fixed to the steering column?

Nice job Thumbs Up I fitted one to my 2015 Puma and it was best thing I ever did to it! In my case it was provided by a different supplier and mounted on the right side of the switch stalks. 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

The only drilling was for one hole on the Left side of the steering wheel into the top part of the cover.
Just take some time to ensure that the position does not foul the indicator/main beam stork or touch the dash ..
The cruse control arm has a hollow shaft and bolts on the column cover, its got a variable rotational adjustment and the tip can be swivelled around before securing into its final position
