I have a Russian planer 2kw diesel air heater in the 110 camper which has been very good for several years. It was cheaper than the german ones and just as good cost at the time was around £600
its fitted with the under cubby box from Nakatanenga. However I fitted one of the cheap Chinese 2kw ones into my partners 110 a couple of years ago and it has been fabulous - for £100 including a remote and all the fittings. So if I was to change my heater this would be the way would go . If you are looking to fit one then I would recommend the fuel scavenger that feeds the fuel from the vehicle fuel filler hose - MudUK have them on sale at the moment - not cheap but easy and simple to fit. Plumb it directly into your fuel tank using an inline pickup (costs almost a much as the heater
 )
2kw version is more than enough and physically smaller |

You hear many bad experiences about the cheaper units, so it is good to hear that not all of them are problematic.

The only problem I have with mine is when it doesn't get enough power. Mine is connected to the 2nd battery (which needs replacing) and if the truck hasn't been run for a while, the heater won't start due to low voltage. I would expect an expensive one would also object...
When I'm camping in the pop top, I run a tumble dryer hose from the heater outlet up into the sleeping area, most welcome on cold winter mornings |

Chinese heaters work very well, got one in my garage

People seem to rave about Chinese heaters bought from randoms on eBay, but ask yourself if you really want to cheap out on something that can kill you🤷♂️

Thanks for the replies everyone, seems like one of these 100 quid Chinese heaters is the way to go. Can anyone recommend me a specific one? as there seems to be like a million different similar looking ones

Ordered one Saturday and should arrive in the next couple of days. Some of the newer ones have a much more sophisticated remote and display. But the down side of those is that the display looks
 . So I went with the older, cheaper one. |

For some of the Chinese ones (CDH - Chinese diesel heaters) you can get an aftermarket control panel that has a few more features - Afterburner I think its called) 1999 Defender TD5 110
