United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Bronze Green
Damper dimensions across the years
I notice that some damper suppliers (Fox, Bilstein) say their dampers will fit all Defenders and RRC. The Land Rover part numbers are different for different years of Defender and 90/110.
Are the dimensions of the dampers the same across the years?
It is just the damping setting that are different, hence the different LR part numbers?

The reason I'm asking is that I would like to fit adjustable dampers to my Defender but the choice is rather limited. Why adjustable? Most of the time it's just me and the dogs and on standard dampers it's a bit bouncy on the country lanes. Everyone loves to Fox dampers and they would suit me most of the time. However, when we go camping and the Defender is fully loaded with roof tent and all the other stuff, the standard dampers are fine. I believe the Fox dampers would be too soft then. Fox do an adjustable but they're £400 each - ouch! Gaz do an adjustable at a much better price. I used to have Gaz dampers on my Lotus and no problems. Gaz list their adjustable as only fitting Defenders up to 95, mine's a 2015.

Thoughts anyone...
