DRLs
I have been looking at the nolden 2nd gen led lights for the defender which have the DRL function.

Has anyone fitted these? If so what are they like

I am guessing they would require a wiring mod to take a permanent live to them ?

I have them fitted to mine, as well as DRL's fitted into the bumper, both come on with ignition and both go off once the headlights come on. I've been very happy with them. I wasn't desperate to have the DRL's but it was virtually impossible to get hold of any Gen 1 Nolden's, especially in the dark chrome colour I wanted, or at a price I was willing to pay.

When I was looking for LED headlights I was advised the best choices are Noldens, Speakers and Trucklite - I probably would have been happy with any of them to be honest but as Noldens were used by JLR I figured is was as close to OEM as I could get Confused

And yes there was a wiring mod for the DRL - the rest of the light works plug and play. I didn't do the wiring myself (I don't like playing with electrics) but I believe it was pretty straight forward if you know what you're doing.
