2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White

Tailgate door stuck and wont open

Hi Fellow LR owners.

On My 2008 Defender 110 i suddenly cant open the tail door.

I cant move the handle on the outside that opens the door.

Does anybody know this problem..

2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Tonga Green

It's probably blocked.
Check it from the inside, there is a locking mechanism on the handle, it looks like a tiny lever

Just went out and tried from the inside.... The handle can't be moved at all !!
Probably have to take it apart from the inside !! Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci

Are you sure that it's unlocked? Does it have central locking? If so, can you hear the mechanism when you press the fob button? If not, try the key. Darren

Its not automatic.
This morning i crawled in from the passanger seats and took it apart.
Some part in the door latch had come off and therefore we couldent open the door.

So now im trying to find a new door latch with at new lock cylinder.

Theres always something to take care of with thees lovely Defenders
