Depends which winch bumper you've got. a Lot of them only use the same 4 bolts as per the normal bumper so fit fine with a sump guard.

Assuming you mean steering guard rather than sump guard (since the sump is protected by the front axle) then the answer is yes, usually they are compatible. As camelman notes there are however bound to be exceptions.
The photo below shows mine with a Mantec bumper and a Safari Equip steering guard with receiver hitch. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Hi
Thanks for the replies Winch bumper has the standard 4 bolts for into end if chassis rail but also 2 legs going further diwn chassis, looks like these collide with brackets for steering guard I think i have have solved it winch bumper compatible ones have very thin brackets that go inside the winch bumper mounts I will try to post some photos |

I have a Husky bumper (with side angle iron brackets) and a Mantec steering guard (the flat Dural one as used on the camel trucks) and these fit together AOK.

Usually the steering guard brackets are designed to sit inside the bumper rear bolt mounts.
But as with all modifications... Some trimming may be required... |

Same here, First Four Husky winch bumper with Flatdog ali steering guard and both fit. Had to trim the steering guard brackets a little to clear the reinforcement on the underside of the bumper but think this is specific to this particular bumper design with the chunky lashing points underneath.
