Rear crossmember torx/flanged bolts and washers - outers
Hi folks - quick one.

The outermost bolts on my crossmember are currently BZP hex - they should have been tore bolts from the factory. I had a little work done a while back and the garage refitted generic M10x120 hex bolts.

I believe that the factory part number is AYG100250 and looks like this:

No problem there. Except I've noticed on a few other users pictures that on some vehicles (possibly very late ones) that the torx bolt appears to have been changed by LR to a flanged hex bolt.

Here are a couple of pictures pinched from other users posts:

My questions are:

1) can anyone confirm this was a factory change and if so, when this happened? (I can't find the bolts anywhere on LRWorkshop for a puma).
2) can anyone tell me the diameter of the washers after this change?

The reason I ask is that I'm about to order some A4-80 stainless fixings for another job and I wanted to order some replacements for these at the same time. The problem is that you can't get M10x120 torx bolts with the correct head style in A4 stainless, only A2 (and its an important fixing so don't want to use A2). However getting a flanged head bolt is a bit easier.

Thanks

2015 MY definitely has hex head bolts.
Mine are due for a change, have some front bumper bolts and washers in stock that appear to be the exact same parts. I haven't got round to fitting them yet, the crossmember needs a coat of paint first.

On my MY2015, too, it's the hex flanged bolt from the pictures.
From memory/pictures it could indeed be the same as the M10x110 used for the bumper:

In this "2007-2016" diagram https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...eats_45090 it's still listed as Torx.

Thanks both. That’s good to know and thanks for the links.

Alas I can’t find 120mm flanged bolts in A4 either. However, scouring through my parts box did yield a set of four 120mm basic hex bolts in A4: so guess I’ll have to live without the flange.

I’m short of the washers of the right size though and they look to be bigger than basic M10 repair washers so will have to try and guess the OD and pick some up next week. My local place has them in 25mm, 30mm and 40mm OD if anyone has time to have a measure.
