) And my car is delayed again with production date in June. I am curios if the car has parts from Rusia or Ukraine, because in this case the delays will continue and we should reconsider the aquisition.

My local dealer has said that parts are not a problem unless Russia decide not to stop at Ukraine.

most German manufacturers are halting production as the wiring looms are all made in Ukraine.
'Automakers including Volkswagen, BMW and Porsche are struggling to obtain crucial wire harnesses as suppliers in western Ukraine have been shuttered by the Russian invasion of the country, forcing production stops at car factories in Germany. Production of the part, needed for organizing miles of vehicle cables, has affected suppliers including Leoni, Fujijura and Nexans. A wire harness is a vital set of parts which neatly bundle up to 5 km (3.1 miles) of cables in the average car. They are a crucial part of a vehicle's electrical system. Leoni, which has two wire harness factories in western Ukraine, is scrambling to compensate for production losses. The Germany company has two Ukrainian plants in Stryi and Kolomyja. Leoni said it had formed a task force to evaluate developments.'' |

Defender is made in Slovakia…700 of the employees are Ukrainian.
Almost certainly there will be issues with ongoing production. I have a Defender on order… I don’t think my worries over delivery come anywhere close to those poor souls in Ukraine. Clemmo  Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....

I would hope that everyone on Defender2net is in agreement with Clemmo's sentiments. Lets hope that humanitarian routes are quickly opened up and this is quickly followed by a peace agreement. Defender 90XS SW

It’s saddens me that Ukraine has to be sacrificed here as not to make this a world war where millions more could perish, so we need to get the residents out safely and then the world can deal with Putin and his cronies.
My heart goes out to everyone living there and I plea that they all leave now safely to fight another day with the world united against Putin’s Russia. And there was I preparing for a road trip to St Petersburg in July. Crazy to think that Russians are still walking in and out of Finland to do their shopping without a single border guard.
