Speed holes.
I’ve got a few dotted about, i like them as they can be functional and (as ever, in my opinionated opinion) look cool, with a nod to the hot rodding world.
My first was to get more air to my auto cooler..

Then I decided to add some to vent a little warm air from under the bonnet.

Anyway, this weekend the weather forecast wasn’t great and the missus had a few family plans, so i decided to go play in the shed.. i had this idea a long time ago, but never had the time..
Here is around 14 hours work…

None of the Defender but my old Cooper S had some fair speed holes to keep the heat down with the supercharger...

New old, i don’t fit in proper minis…. I nearly bought my pals old one that was supercharged with the m45 that ours used, however my head was too far in the roof, much the same as when i dove my pals mx5 on itbs, i could see over the windscreen.. Mine was built for sprint racing, i took 100kg out of it and it was on suspension developed by one of the American Le Mans teams

Very neat - I like that a lot. We had to put vent holes in our bobtailed Range Rover, which ran a 4.2 V8 and it definitely kept the temperature down.

@kev They certainly help, with the fans on, you can feel air exiting the holes.

@smyles they’re called dimple dies. You can also get bead dies, Stakesys is the best place to shop.
