265/75/16 pressures
Really boring post and no doubt covered before (couldn't find it searching) but what would people recommend in terms of pressures for 265/75/16?

Mostly road and half decent surface use in a 110 Puma Utility. Assume no heavy loads (bar the dog and kids).

Here's a photo to make this a little less dull.

If you were to speak to my local tyre blokes they'd say less than you want to blow them up by...

In my experience the front tyres are the easiest to get right and 28psi works well on road.

When it comes to the rear it is entirely dependant on how much weight you have in the back the majority of the time. What I have found is that the recommended 48psi on the rear of a 110 is WAY way way way to hard. For general road driving I generally use 36-38psi.

If you want to check whether your rear tyres are over pumped then put two pieces of card behind the rear tyres. Scatter talc powder on the card. roll the vehicle back over the talc and by doing so you can see how much of the tread is in contact with the road. If over-inflated then the outer tread will have less talc on it, if under-inflated then the inner tread will have less talc on them. Obviously you are looking for all of the tread to be in contact for maximum footprint. It is really DIY but will give you a good idea of how over or under inflated your tyres are. Adjust as necessary.

I'm at about 28psi in the front and 35psi in the rear on a lightly loaded 110 Station Wagon.

48 psi is reserved for a boot full of kit and a trailer on the back

Dropped the pressures to about 28 and 38 in the end and feels a lot less crashy.

Thanks for the pointers.
