Spun off from Top Gear I understand.

Must admit I think some of the presenters on Top Gear believe they are doing a comedy show (badly).

Well they're certainly doing an entertainment show rather than just a car show. My whole family watch Top Gear and other than me none of them have the slightest interest in cars. I suspect the same is true for lots of other viewers too so they're doing something right (for now).

As I understand, It's has the biggest audience of any TV show globally.

that honour goes to "House"

and I find 5th gear to be dull. a poor mans top gear.
