Remote App not Working

Anyone else having problems with the App at the moment?

The App is saying the data has not been updated for 4 days. The Remote will not function as the 'vehicle is currently in low power mode due to inactivity'.

Been out in the car today and no change, still no current data showing in the App and Remote not available.

Strangely, the only thing that does seem to operate is Guardian Mode

My wife’s Velar app does the same every now and again.

Or it thinks the car is still parked where it was earlier in the day even if it is outside the house

Or the old chestnut, saying it is unlocked when it isn’t……..

You’ll get used to it….

Yes I’ve been having issues since getting OS3 software update, it will start the car but won’t put the heating on, occasionally it won’t update the vehicle location and I’m getting false theft alerts. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

That’s interesting, I’ve been watching for the OS3 update and not seen it. I will see if it has updated tomorrow.

There is also a new version of the remote app today for IOS at least, I've just been on and updated my app, the new version is 2.8.0

This could be an issue with the Telematics Module. One way to verify this is that if your car's Wi-Fi is working properly, the TCM should be working too. Cheers! My current version ceased connecting for the past 2 weeks so I’ve updated to 2.8.1 and all ok now

Thanks for all suggestions.

Wifi seems to work and the apps all function.

I have signed out and back in to INCONTROL on the phone and in the vehicle. No change. The app is reporting that the vehicle is asleep

It clearly isn’t as I’m using it!

ok, can anyone clue me in here?

What is the difference between following apps:

a) Land Rover Remote (software version 2.8.0 last updated yesterday)

b) Land Rover InControl Remote (software version 1.8.1 last update a year ago)

I downloaded the Land Rover InControl Remote app before I received my defender. I have been using it ever since without issue, though I have no facility to set pre-conditioning target cabin temperature via the app (a facility I would like)

I note that in the screen shots on the app store for the Land Rover Remote it shows the ability to set target temperature.

I'm a bit reluctant to try downloading and switching to the latest app (Land Rover Remote), in case I end up with conflict issues. However it would seem only this app is receiving updates.

Is anyone else using the older app? Current: MY22 P400e SE

Me, I’ve never been able to sign into the later version even with the help of the JLR iT guys who spent several days working with me to try to get it working. V1 does everything I need of it and colour of the app icon apart I don’t see any difference! Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
