Auto does not engage - Terrain Response 2 system
Hi all,
Looking for some advice. I have a 22 Defender 110 with the Auto Terrain system 2. I normally drive it in comfort mode but the other day I tried to engage “auto” as it was raining pretty hard and I couldn’t select it. In the past I was just able to select it on the touchscreen but it won’t select. The rotary dial won’t let me select it either.
I have an appointment at the dealer to have them look at it but it’s at least 30 days out. So my question is, has anyone run into this issue with their vehicle? Anything I should try myself? Additionally, if I drive the Defender in comfort mode, does things like the active differential still active? Since we are coming into the winter, I’m worried that I might lose something driving on road in comfort mode vs Auto. Should I even be using “auto” mode with regular winter driving?
Any help would be appreciated. This is my first Land Rober and I’m learning the ropes.

I don't have Advanced Off-Road Capability Package in my car, but I thought that Auto should be enabled by pressing and holding the Terrain Response button on the center console?

The diffs still actively provide locking when driving in Comfort mode. 22MY Defender 110 P400e SE w/ Off-Road Pack, Driver Assist Pack, Cold Climate Pack, Comfort & Convenience Pack + ClearSight Rear-View Mirror & 11.4" Infotainment Screen
