recaro sportster cross cs seats
So after a few days/months searching.

I understand the SVX seats and some of the limited edition seats are very similar to the Recaro Cross cs seats, but the recaros dont have the seat base removal like the genuine ones.

I have seen many posts on the internet pointing to kits for sale to make them removable, but non look to be available apart from this one https://shop.landreiziger.nl/uitneembare-z...ro-cs.html

Now there is not a picture of it, but wondering if anybody has actually used this to make a std (cheep Recaro Cross cs seat to have a removable base?

I know some places can do the removable base if I buy the seat form them but shipping kills that idea as locally I can get new seats for about the same price as new std seats in the UK, then later on I will think about trimming them.

Also found out recaro also manufacture a seat kit RC8721(1/2)6 and have asked recaro direct what that includes as that maybe include a lift up kit. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

Have a chat with Gareth at Defender upgrades. He made my pins in order to make the base removable. They replace the fixing bolts and the base just drops in. I added a strip of Velcro as well to prevent any rattling.
