2.4 oil feed pipe replacement - advice please
Hi all,

I’ve searched the forum but can’t find a clear answer, just wanted some clarity on changing the oil feed pipe on my 2.4 puma. I’ve got a new turbo to fit and want to change the feed pipe too.

I cannot for the life of me even see where it joins the block, do I need to remove the alternator to gain access?

If anyone can offer some guiding advice it would be really helpful.

Thank you

I have just changed the turbo on mine and had the same dilemma, in the end I left it alone as it was not leaking and seemed in good condition, once you remove the turbo you can see where it goes in to the block but look very fiddly to do.
no need to remove the dipstick tube either,

Things I did,
Prime the turbo with fresh oil,
Change the engine oil and filter,
Fit a new copper washer to the oil feed banjo bolt,
Fit a new gasket to the oil return pipe,
fit new exhaust gasket,

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Driver, good to hear I’m not the only one!

I’ve started the rebuild today and have done exactly the same as you with new washers, gaskets etc.

Doing this job in the middle of winter on my gravel drive has not been pleasant Laughing '09 Puma 110 CSW XS
