2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Zermatt Silver

3” lift and wide arches

Hello all,

Does anyone know where I can get 3” lift springs from for a 110 puma.

Also recommendations for the best wide arches.

Have fitted 35”x12”s and now rubbing arches.

Ive got terrafirma +50mm arches but you have to get them painted as they look too plasticcy otherwise.

Also running the standard HD utility springs with glyn lewis 50mm spacers on the springs. Get no rubbing.

Before you go up to a 3” lift, it is probably worth measuring your lift at the moment, looks quite low for a 2” lift with 35’s (was looking at your tyre comparison post the other day) so May have had the springs sag over time. If you can get away with retaining only a 2” lift then it will drive a lot nicer than when you go bigger 👍

Just when I think I've managed to suppress silly thoughts of huge tyres, external cage, winches, lightbars (and other things that my use of my defender really doesn't jusitify).

Camelman posts another picture of his stunning example. It looks fantastic.

If you want to do your suspension properly, talk to Gwyn Lewis. And as mentioned there is 3” lifts, and there are real 3” lifts.

Looks lovely, are you running spacers? I currently have 30mm bulldog spacers on.

Also just looked at the terrarfirma wheel arches and says they cannot be painted?

The arches painted fine?? Been on for 3 years now with no issue. Got them done professionally at the local body shop, cost £120 for the set to match them to body.

No spacers on, the wheels are Challenger ET-32 16x10.
