Thank you Alex. I have a YouTube channel (I’m a beginner) you can have a look at (see link in my signature) or I have a few pictures but am thinking about doing a video as I get many questions about it. What do you think?

Yes it’s an eezi awn stealth.

Been watching your recent videos since subbing a while ago - very much enjoy them! Would also much appreciate a video on your setup Thumbs Up
Off Topic I assume you wont be coming to the UK or needing to sell your ARB bumper for food stamps like we discussed in a previous thread? Razz Stuart

I like your design, you're not far off what I've done. I kept the tub but put in a flat floor, level with the top of the wheel wells. I built in a 3/4 length full width drawer and have a 45lt water tank in front of it. I slide a camp table into rails beneath the floor on top of the drawer too.

The pump for the tank (heat exchanger under bonnet) sits in the small area in front of the right wheel well, the left area is blank as my drop down fridge slide sits above it. The area on the left and right behind the wheel tubs have top opening hatches, right has a portable air compressor and spares etc, the left has a lot of often used stuff like ratchet straps, folding shovel, recovery gear etc. I cut the left side of the tub down to the level of the floor while the right tub side is still standard height and has jate ring points if I ever feel the need to tie cargo down.

My engel fridge sits on the left side almost against the back panel and the MSA drop slide brings the top down to the level of the platform which is about 200mm less than when I had it in the tailgate at standard floor height (the missus is very appreciative). I made the canopy door come right down to close the cutout. It is very convenient for loading (no up-and-over the sides), keeps the majority of our camping stuff in the drawer and out of the way and I don't have to build on hanging doodads to make extra storage on a tray. I also have a gorilla net in the roof that usually has our three fish surfboards, or sleeping bags and pillows, camp chairs etc.

Anyway, getting to the point...I had a tray ute (not LR) with a canvas tilt before and I find there was a lot of wasted space under the tray despite all the drawers and boxes I made underneath. The tilt, despite zips and flaps always leaked dust. The flat platform in mine is the same height as a tray would be regardless to allow for wheel articulation. I feel the tub has all the amenity and protection and dust proofing. The only advantage of a tray is if you want to take everything off to use it open. I never did this on my other ute despite it being one of the reasons I bought a tray back in the first place. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much Stuart. Really appreciate that.
The plan is still on the cards but to find a job is proving harder than I expected. Fingers are still crossed though. But i hadnt considered food stamps for ARB's Laughing Laughing "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce

Hi Bruce, I was very fortunate to spend three months around southern Africa about 20 years ago. Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya. Sth Africa. Absolutely loved it. It feels very familiar to an aussie (same vibe). I would love to get back to show it to my kids now. They're crazy about nature and love going through my photo albums from back then asking a million questions.

I have itchy feet just thinking about it. Hopefully again.

Cheers
Dale
