Truck cut out and stalls?
Today I got my 2007 defender stuck in one of our fields, it was bottomed out to the diffs, as it hit the mud it immediately stalled and when I started it, it started fine, but then stalled immediately again. Anyway I walked home and got the tractor and pulled it out, tried starting it again and it started and didn't stall and is driving like nothing happened. Does anyone know why it kept stalling?? Thanks all - Nathan

Too much resistance perhaps. Did you let the clutch out fully? Which gear? Hi or Lo?

Weird I know Neutral I don't have traction control, I was in low when I went into the mud, but the clutch was down when I started it Confused I hope this isn't another problem!

Yeah same senario as in the picture, i tried it so the transfer box was in neutral too, and it would start then just cut out! Rolling Eyes I rekon i had half a chance of getting out if the engine would have stayed on Laughing

The Puma sure does seem to have some odd quirks especially in the mud! Plus having the Grabbers on its like diving a van through mud only 4wd no grip or traction at all just spin. BFGoodrich KM2 on the horizon i think

I got it stuck again on purpose and it did it again! :/ I had a good look this time , and there was mud on the small pipe in the nearside arch, is this the fuel breather? Isn't this pipe supposed to be relocated?
