Perei LED light question
I currently have Wipac side/rear lights, but not overly keen on them. I like the Twisted/Perei lights, but not keen at £350 for the rears. Are these the same lights? Assume if they are, I just need a couple of connectors/wiring to fit (plus the plinth)?

Many thanks!

You could but you can also buy proper LED versions of them. Darren

Those are LED versions.

Look identical to mine, i did get mine from Dun Bri way cheaper than the sets from some companies.

These are sealed units, already LED.

The perei 95mm led tail lights look and perform so much better than those hideous Wipac offerings.

OH also, unless they come with them you would need the plinths for the 95mm lenses..

Thanks all - I definitely like the look of them. I see (non gen) plinths are only £2.88 from dun-bri. Regarding wiring them up, you can buy the six lights and wiring (plug and play) at £350. I am hoping to do it cheaper, as the lights only from dun-bri are a lot cheaper. How would I go about then wiring them up? Can you buy the wiring/connectors already made up or do I have to make my own? Just wondering if it's worth the hassle to save a few £.

I've been looking the Perei lights also from Dun Bri and i see you can get them with a wire tail either Econoseal or Superseal which the td5 connections are. I just can't remember which one they are though but least this answers your plug and play question

What are you going to do for the front lights ?, I'm not sure whether to do the 95mm or Perei do an 80mm also.

Thanks - RE fronts, currently have the Wipac LED side/indicators, but will go for the Twisted look so clear Perei I think/standard sizing. I guess halogen bulbs as won't be legal with LED in the housing? I have JW Speaker headlights so don't often bother using side lights anyway.

The standard connectors are Econseal. For some reason on the SVX models, they used lamps with Superseal connectors and then had to introduce a short adapter loom. Anyway, buying Perei LED lamps with bare wires and then fitting Econoseal connectors is very easy to do if you have a decent terminal crimp tool. Otherwise, if you can buy them with connectors fitted then that would be easier.

I've fitted their stop/tail lamps to mine and will probably do the indicators too, at some point:

Brilliant thanks, didn't realise there were different connectors. It seems like they come with wiring/connectors via dun-bri which would be great. Works out around £225 from them with plinths for a full rear set so a decent saving.

Had a full set of the Le Perei LED offerings on my 90 for the best part of 10-years and they have performed perfectly.
When I bought them I bought most from from Dun-Bri although some (indicators I think?) were cheaper to buy from Bearmach, same Le Perei parts but just cheaper.
Had them on the front as well but have since replaced them with normal LED when I did a makeover.

If there is a problem it is that the plinths crack over time, had NAS lights fitted since 2001 (filament type before replacing with LED) and most have gone this way. Tried different brands of plinth over the years but after 5-6 years they often show signs of damage around the mounting holes.
