They do a modern version of this classic, with an SD card slot rather than cassette. I had one of these in my BMW back in the day. I'm tempted to go all retro in my Defender.

Was also think that the Breman mechless would be a great covert upgrade on my 110 puma, especially since it can be illumination colour matched to to the instrument green. Just shaken by the price tag Shocked so would like to see one in the flesh before committing.

Might just have to save up for one. Zaid-M

I think Grafty put one in their classic Range Rover, it’s in the bold thread, it looked pretty decent.

Hi also thinking of changing my radio due to poor reception and like the look of the Blaupunkt Dublin 112BT unit to remove my radio do i have to remove the centre consul (dash top off to get to the screws ) or just the piece round the radio which does not fit properly at the bottom as you can see in the photo
help appreciated

If you have the correct release tools you don’t need to remove either the wonky piece of trim or centre console to remove the radio. You can make the poorly fitting aperture fit better by bending the wires behind it but you’ll probably need to take the whole centre console out to do that.

A word to the wise - poor radio reception usually has more to do with a bad aerial than it does a bad radio. On tractors and combines with a plastic roof or where aerials are mounted to wing mirrors, reception is significantly improved by earthing the base of the aerial straight to the battery or a known good earth. We know how bad the earths can be on Land Rovers!
