Thinking about getting a steering wheel security lock - any suggestions for one that fits the best?

Was looking into it too. Most are suggesting the lock that goes accross the pedals instead of the steering wheel, maybe more secure? Sometimes you have to get lost to find yourself

I think that is the one I have but not from halfords. Nice red one which matches my LR LOL. When mine got broken into at the dealers the did not taking it but did take another vehicle (parked next to mine) I like to think they didn't bother because of the steering lock. Though it may have been they wanted something reliable LOL.

I have a clutch claw on the 90 and never had any problems with that. I am told they are very good. Thumbs Up

Do them in about four or five colours as well. I bought mine from a ebay supplier.

Not a steering lock but the Meck Lock is meant to be good, fits to the clutch hydraulics leaving the clutch disengaged so the vehicle cant be driven away. It is pricy though £380 odd!!

I went for the Clutch Claw which seems OK although it does not fit properly right away. After some discussion with the supplier, and having given up on their repeated promises of shipping a modified unit to me, I cut down the inner two rods. This allows the top bar closer to the pedal irons and a better fit. Still not perfect. I think they could produce a Defender-specific model which would fit nearly perfectly. I understand the engineer that manufactures the units for them is a Defender owner. The overall quality of construction is good. Trevor Wright
