Price of fuel
I think i must eyes closed over the last few weeks but hadn't noticed the spike in fuel prices Shocked
What has caused this??
Diesel around £1.51 per litre!!

All to do with Covid (what isn't......) when they slowed production and hence we are now paying the price.......

Inflation and such is also being blamed

Don’t be fooled with EV’s they are only good in the environment they are operated in. The destruction they cause from cradle to grave is something we are missing but it won’t be long before it catches up with us. It’s was only 10 years ago it was calculated that a Prius would need to cover over 1,000,000 miles to offset its carbon destruction, and it hasn’t improved much.

As for fuel saving, watch Guy Martins recent EV challenge, the cost to recharge his car was double that of the same mileage in a Diesel, and that’s before you take into account the time inconvenience…. Ride like you stole it!!

Fuel prices were crazy low just a few years ago when there was a surplus of production (various oil/gas-producing countries didn't want to slow production if other countries didn't do the same thing), therefore the O&G industry was hit hard with redundancies and various business/site closures.

I play a very small role in the O&G industry and seeing colleagues either being let go, or fleeing what they felt was a 'sinking ship' wasn't fun. Sure, pump prices were great and people got to travel more because of it but it certainly also hurt a lot of people (tens of thousands lost their jobs).

Although I will admit, I did wince a bit when filling up with petrol V Power in my other daily the other day (1.5-something p/l). 2003 90 TD5 Hardtop

It’s funny we notice the pain when fuel prices increase but I get baffled when my colleagues in the office pay £1.30 for a 500ml plastic water bottle and they buy several every day…

Our tap water is some of the best in the world so they just need to find the nearest tap and save loads Rolling with laughter Ride like you stole it!!

£1.36 P/L Here, I continue to stick with Esso regular diesel with the Millers diesel additive and been sticking to this for years and works for me.

The moment I used an independent once, I had problems which turned out to be VCV.
I suspect that there was moisture in it, hence finishing off the VCV as it is very sensitive to that.

Everyone does things differently though - this works for me. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Haha to be fair, living in a hardwater area, bottled water isn't always a bad thing! Not something I could do every day though! 2003 90 TD5 Hardtop

👍🏻 If you do plenty of miles that’s the way to go, I don’t do high miles so I use the dosage bottles and use standard dose.
Works well, nice and smooth and powerful.

Runs as clean as you could hope in my opinion, definitely better than just sticking in regular diesel. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️
