Adventure 110

Hi all, hope you're all keeping safe and well.
Let me introduce my childhood dream, 2015 phoenix orange 110 adventure edition, 1 owner from new and in lovely condition.

Plan is pretty boring but keeping as original as possible although very tempting looking at some of the mods people have done on the forum.

I am however looking at fitting the LOF clutch spring as she is already playing havoc on my knee from many footballing injuries, any tips?

Was also looking at car covers as she won't be my daily driver, any recommendations?

Also some name recommendations please! She does need a name after all.

Thanks in advance Very Happy

Welcome!

Have always liked the Adventure edition.

I have the LOF spring and master fitted to my 110 and I have to say its made a huge difference to the weight of the clutch. I now feel like I could drive though London rush hour traffic without doing a left leg workout! Laughing

If you have the master fitted, make sure the clutch height is also adjusted as it does sit high.

I just realised that I don’t have a name for mine yet and I’ve had her 4 years!

Enjoy the car…out of all the cars I’ve ever had the defender is the only one I’ve ever bought twice!

Make every drive and Adventure! (See what I did there!? Rolling with laughter )

Nice car. Having said that they don’t need names or to be referred to as he/she Mr. Green

Simple.

Don't.

Unless you go for a Carcoon type arrangement, any cover that touches corners sides etc, will over time rub the paint off, and depending on location, trap moisture in.

Thanks for the replies guys. Won’t bother with the cover in that case - my main concern was parking under the tree in our garden. The sap has ruined many of my car roofs. Will have to think of another solution.

Appreciate the replies - naming my car has something I have done since the kiddos arrived and it’s become a bit of a habit to make the road trips a bit more fun 😄

Regarding mods, there a plenty of improvements you can make that are 100% reversible, so you could still do some things if you wanted without affecting originality. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Rather than a full cover, how about an old sheet/duvet cover/blanket just for the roof. Covering the upper surface alone will cause less issues with rubbing. Just need to weight down appropriately.

As an alternative (if you have the fixing points), have you considered a shade sail or just a tarp strung above the roofline?

Great truck. Looks fantastic. Welcome to Defender life.

Personally, I'm keeping all my original parts safely stored away, and all mods reversible.

How about 'Edgar' after the founder of Tangerine Dream. Seeing it's a dream car.

Welcome to D2N and Defender ownership. Shes a beauty, always like the last limited editions. There was an orange adventure for sale locally and it looked amazing in the flesh. Enjoy. Thumbs Up

Sounds like you need to build a carport to keep sap and worst of the weather away! James

Thanks guys some good recommendations and advice… looks like I have found a decent forum full of helpful members.

I’m sure I will be keeping a close eye on here for helpful tips and advice.

Will be trying to keep the mileage relatively low to maintain its value.

‘Shergar’ is a good one 😂😂

Parmstar, I’m not sure of any covers that would fit with the roof rack

On a side note, I’d suggest you remove and comments you make about security mods you have, you never know who looks on here or any other site 👍
