Cooling fan

I have a 2.4 tdci I see the fan is quite away out from the plastic housing around the radiator I saw some where you can buy a spacer but I just looked at my friend's 2.2 tdci and saw the viscous fan has a much longer has anyone put a 2.2 fan on a 2.4 many thanks

+1 for the Naka fan spacer, which I have on my 2.4. Without huge efforts it's hard to determine the precise effect, but I haven't had a single instance of excess heat under heavy load since installing it.
