Trip to Londolozi Private Game Reserve

the next leg of our safari trip was Londolozi, one of the oldest game lodges in ZA - since 1926

£1500.00 per night per person! If I’m reading this right? That’s a lot of washing up

^ this is the pre-Covid price for the 'exclusive' part of the lodge, which only takes 6 guests, and caters primarily to the rich & famous - some of the people who have stayed there include Margot Robbie, Gerard Butler, Elton John, etc.,

We went on the special ZA price, which is 1/3 of that, still a fair chunk, but for that kind of money you get exclusivity, Michelin-level cuisine, best ZA wines, etc., etc.,

There are other, cheaper camps at the lodge: Varty Camp, which caters for families, goes at ZAR17K pppn. By comparison, Thornybush Game Lodge cost us 8K pppn.

And Londolozi is not even the most expensive lodge in ZA...

The size of the Private Granite Suite probably dwarfs most UK houses, with the added bonus that you can float in the pool while elephants walk just metres away

Thanks for the reply Naks, we married in Namibia & had a few nights in a posh lodge a few years ago, it was interesting talking to the other guests at dinner. Depending on costs at the time I’ll take a look when we get down that way next year....
