If it helps, my Clarke engine crane lifted a complete TD5 in and out of my 110 a couple of times on the longest (250kg) configuration.

Hi Seve.
Many thanks. Thats just what I wanted to hear. Been looking at the engine stand I've got and wondering if it'll fit betwen the legs of my engine hoist and looks as if its doable as long as i'm at the 250kg setting. AI says about 350kg which sounds like s bit on the heavy side.
Had one in my garage which I had to move around a bit and my 250kg (at full extension) engine crane had no difficulty lifting it. |

John Craddock lists the shipping weight of a 15P without external ancillaries as 150kg, which is realistic and about what I would expect.
There is no way that the engine alone weighs 250kg (a quarter tonne) and certainly not 350kg, although a complete powerpack (engine with ancillaries plus both gearboxes) would, I expect, be approaching 300kg. |
