France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Corris Grey
A carpenter's modified Defender.
To me, this vehicle personifies what it means to be a 'Defender'. When I see a new Defender with a DIY wooden rear door, awning cover, hob-shelf and wing-top plates (you can just make them out in the first and last photo), then I'll accept it as being worthy of the Defender name. It is this, arguably unique aspect of Defender ownership, that made the vehicle so iconic, not simply its abilities off road, and which were completely forgotten in the creation of the new incarnation. It is very, very cool. Thumbs Up

Grenadier, There’s nothing to stop that being done to a New Defender - a few planks on the sides and roof and some wood effect Fablon on the tailgate is possible if you want it. Just that so far nobody has felt the need. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Perhaps something like this would look good on the side of a L663? Rolling with laughter

Nope, I've checked, it's a solid wood door. Great fit as well. Monsieur Le Grenadier
