The last time we did Van Zhyls, we took the Defender and S3 down first. We had 8 mates that had rented a couple of double cab pickups. We watched them gingerly crawling down before they both lurched to a stop.
There was a 10 second pause before all 8 doors were flung open and everyone, including the drivers, jumped out terrified Smile

As said gravel is the one to be cautious with, we have done Namibia / Botswana & a bit of Zimbabwe. Sand from my point of view is all about momentum & you’ll learn very quickly as digging a truck out in heat with predictors around makes you concentrate more Shocked

If your with a group / someone there’s nothing to worry about, solo is where it gets more interesting Rolling with laughter
