Spare wheel
Spare wheel on the back door has annoyed me since since I bought the thing..

Took mine off a few days ago while towing my cherry picker as the boom gets ever so close - and I’m loving not having it in the way.

Issue now is where to put it!

No space in the boot..

Yep I was a disco owner - found it impossible to replace until the defender was dragged into the future!

Run without.

I've done 10's of thousands of miles in cars like Smart, Elise, Exige that never had the facility to carry a spare and never had an issue.

Having said that I've carried two at times with a Land Rover.

Go figure.

Put it in the cradle of the cherry picker?

But that's offset by the anecdotal evidence that Disco owners really are the best new Defender buyers... Whistle

Without is tempting it’s been over 300000miles since I’ve had a puncture, even when I visit quarries and construction sites!

I’ve owned lots of vehicles - old defender being one of them... horrible thing

Land Cruiser 70 was brilliant why did Land Rover not look at what Toyota where doing in the 70’s 80’s 90’s...

I managed to kick the Disco habit 2 1/2 years ago and still don’t have the green light get a Defender so I’m not helping either! Embarassed Embarassed

Could you carry a tyre plug repair kit and a portable compressor. A much better option that the can of tyre repair gloop that the fitters hate.
