Terrafirma Tubular Winch Bumper (A/C)
Anyone got the above fitted and if so can they say how much grille cutting is needed?

Also pics of an actual install would be cool Thumbs Up Andy

Spain 2001 Defender 90 Td5 SW Epsom Green
Andy

A lot Laughing

I fitted mine plus a SW Talon 9.5SR at the weekend and had to cut a fair amount from the selonoid end and also along the bottom to clear the cross bars. Still need to trim some of the other fins to stop the grill bowing slightly.

I will post some pictures soon when it stops raining and I have finished cutting Thumbs Up

Tack has fitted one with a Goodwinch and I don't think he has done and trimming at all but I am sure he will be along soon to clarify.

Thanks bob Thumbs Up

Would have to take it off and put it back on for pic's CFB so my word will have to do Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Fitted mine no cutting, it was a squeeze, and the grill is pressed inwards by the TD5 winch, but it fits as it should with no issues to date. I found I needed longer bolts to fit the sump guard and bumper together, these are the bolts which go underneath. But all in all about 3 hours work and I had the bumper, winch and sump guard fitted Thumbs Up

See my gallery for some pics of the front Very Happy

Tack

Looks good, I have the same winch so am leaning that way now, like the way you can get a number plate in too which is often an issue with winch bumpers.

You look to be running BFG 285's too, any issues with them fouling on max articulation? Assume no lift and standard suspension?? Andy

Number plate is legal, but maybe out of view of some ANPR high level cameras Mr. Green

No issues with the articulation, no lift and standard suspension. I would add that when parked up next to discocuzzy he had an aftermarket bumper and winch, he also had HD suspension at the front and his front end was notably higher than mine. Opted not to change suspension due to warranty and TBH i have not had any issues Thumbs Up
