2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey

Replacing F+R Springs 90 CSW

I’ve decided to renew the suspension on my 2009 90 CSW and have bought 4 new springs, but think I’ve made a hasty choice.

I’ve bought NRC9446/7/8/9 which although seem correct for a 90, not sure are suitable for a Puma CSW.

I don’t tow and no winches fitted, never carry rear passengers.

Any guidance appreciated before I go ahead and fit them (or send them back).

2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Santorini Black

CSW have progressive springs at the rear, so they are soft when unladen, and get harder when loaded.

Having said that, I installed NRC2119 on the rear (I added isolators as well) and there was a small improvement in ride. However it is sitting half an inch lower at the back. Thanks - I’m also planning on fitting isolators (ANR2938) top & bottom of all four springs, so hopefully together with the new genuine shocks, it’ll create a quiet & smooth ride.
