House alarm/ sensor inside the truck?
Has anyone tried this before?

Rarely I leave my defender outside, actually only when im away from home but I also have one of these google nest 'smart alarms' small portable and loud

https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_secure_alarm_system

Has a base station and then sensors, I thought about mounting one or two inside the car which would then set off the house alarm (main unit)

This is the fob, could also be mounted in a way it would alarm if the door opens, you can turn the alarm on / off from your phone and it pulls up the nearest camera (if you have nest CCTV) to the alarm...

Leave the base station in your bedroom and if anyone decides to open up your car hey presto...

Anyone thought of it before / tried it?

Yes I have a wireless house alarm sensor mounted on a block of wood that I leave in the Defender. Works perfectly especially when I forget its armed..., Rolling Eyes Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…

My mate does this with his van

He has a sensor in the van, sets the house alarm it activates the van.

Works a treat as he had all his tools pinched.

He uses a Yale wireless alarm and the extra sensor was around £25

I had a wireless 360 Quad PIR that was part of its own ‘zone’ in my old defender that was part of the main house system, clipped on the roof.

Being in its own Zone meant it didn’t upset the alarm system when it wasn’t available etc.

As simple as this, and can be moved to multiple locations...
