TD5 occasionally not igniting
A really enjoying thing has happened two times last week. I turn the key to step two, everything seems normal (all lights comes on and I hear the fuel pump) but when I try to ignite, it doesn't fire and a the outer temperature display (I think this is not standard?) shines up a little and then turns off.

I was thinking the battery was running low for some reason, but after cursing for about an hour, I tried to start her again, and it worked. Which is really strange. I didn't do anything, just waited, and it worked.

The other time I was able to get help from two nice men to push her to start.

Any ideas of what this could be? Might be a good thing to check the battery?
Thanks!

To clarify. Are saying that the engine turns over and doesn’t start, or are you saying that it doesn’t turn over?

Also check the smaller exciter wire on the starter motor, quite common for a loose connection. Had two in last couple of weeks at work. It’s just a normal 1/4” spade, that becomes loose. Hope you manage to get it sorted,

Is it single clicks or multiple clicks?

Multiple is voltage issue, single is starter issue. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Check starter motor as above, and also check that the fuel pressure regulator isn’t leaking on from above.
