110 rear seats falling down

I have a 2002 110 with separate rear inward facing seats, but rather annoyingly they always fall down, which i think my dog is getting rather fed up with when shes kept in the back. Does anyone know how to increase the resistance to stop the seats falling down so easily?

They usually have a strap around them with a clip on one end

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Corris Grey

Its probalby of no help, but consider removing them? they take up a lot of space. Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭
