More electronics shortages to come?
A fire at the plant making a lot of the automotive world’s semiconductors isn’t good news for modern cars

Apologies, I got it from the BBC then googled it and got straight into the FT full article - it’s a fire at the weekend in the factory that makes most of the semiconductors used by the world’s car makers.

I think it's the company that makes "most of the semiconductors used by the world's car makers" not the factory itself. It has 9 production factories in Japan and is located in many other countries around the globe.

...im not sure whats story behind this, but this factory is certainly not leading manufacturer of chips and IC's for automotive industry...there is quite a lot of chip/IC makers for automotive/industrial systems..looks more like some 'financial drama', rather than what article text suggests..

Ive got 4 vans on order for delivery in May. Just been told there is a delay at the factory (its closed) due to a shortage of electronic components. They have no idea when production will re start. Evil or Very Mad 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
