That will bug me, I have auto dimming mirrors (both sides) on the velar and works a treat. To me you either fit it to both mirrors or don’t fit it at all. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Exactly, it’s one of those cost saving measures that shouldn’t be a thing on premium cars!
Hopefully it’s just a swap out job, as I understand it the mirror just needs power to operate no other signals so hopefully the loom is the same for both sides and it will just work... |

What model do you have? I’m pretty sure my first edition 90 has both sides but I can’t check right now because it’s in the dealership for repairs

Not got one yet! Have an order in on a V8 and noticed it seems all models show it as drivers side only now.

I have a 2020 First Edition 110 and both sides auto dip, but both wing mirrors do strange things in bright sunlight like they go black except for a tiny border that isn’t tinted. Also at dusk they get a green tint on them even with no car following..... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Thanks Tim, sounds like it was a cost saving mesure then just to add on one side, hopefully can just pop a LHD one in and good to go!
Strange I have never had those issues with them on my RRS, only time I ever notice anything is when reversing onto the drive sometimes the drivers side dims. |

I don’t know if LHD markets also get the reverse dipping feature on their offside mirrors, you would want to tie that in if you replaced the UK near side mirror.
I never had the strange tinting in my RRS with optional auto dipping or on my Mini Countryman that also had them. I would hope that it would just be a case of replacing the glass and the passenger side leaving the reverse dipping feature as is? Certinly one for more ressearch!
OT - but now you mention the mini I have just realsied who you are from from the RRSport forums, pleased to see you back in a land rover! |

You might be able to get your dealers to get a “replacement” mirror for a now out of production 1st Edition............. hoping that they don’t want a VIN to order it

It’s the wireing I am wondering about, suspect it just needs power and can’t see them making a LHD and RHD loom for the mirrors but stranger things have happened!
I see some MY22s have started arriving so hopefully someone keen can pop off the mirror and take a look! |
