GLOW PLUG ENGINE BAY FUSE BLOWS!
Lads,

I'll try to make this as simple as possible.

When I connect the black and yellow wire from the Glow Plug Timer Relay to the Glow Plug Harness the #3 60amp fuse blows in the engine bay. Big Cry

If I replace the fuse and disconnect the glow plug harness from the relay the fuse doesn't blow which gave me the impression that something could be wrong with the glow plug harness because the fuse literally only blows when I connect the glow plug harness to the glow plug relay live wire....

Things I've done to troubleshoot are: Checking the continuity through the Glow Plug Harness and that was fine / Checked the ground connection on the Glow Plug Relay which was fine / I am reading 8-9v on the black and yellow wire coming from the relay.

I know the glow plugs themselves ground to the engine, I have a ground wire going from the starter to the chassis which I believe should be sufficient to ground the engine effectively (correct me if I am wrong about that).

Bow down Any suggestions with troubleshooting this annoying issue???[/b]

check glow plug harness for short to ground with yellow and black wire disconnect from glow plug relay and glow plug end too also check glow plugs are not shorted to ground

Multimeter is your best friend for troubleshooting

also check engine loom for damage
