NFU - Stated Wrong Vehicle
NFU are my insurer. When I took the policy out, the vehicle was still at the dealers and I only had a registration mark. Had to get the policy prior to have the vehicle delivered to me. For some reason, they couldn't find a 110 XS Double Cab TdCi or equiv on their list and have wrongly stuck it down as a 110 XS Double Cab Td5.

I brought this to their attention but 7 weeks later and on she rumbles.... "it's not a Td5 its a TdCi or puma engine". "It's a 2.4 not a 2.5". "Oh sir.... we will have to pass that on to head office for investigation but in the meantime your covered. We can't locate that on our computer systems".

Anyone else had the same ???

Given who they are, this is something I didnt expect!! Shocked

yes this is normal, many of us have had the same issue, don't worry about it as long as the reg no is correct. Thumbs Up

My registration number brings up Defender 2.4 tdci double cab std, whatever std is! 'standard' i guess. They dont have a DC xs on the system either. At least it's the correct engine, etc though!

They did say though, as long as thd reg is ok/recognised, I'm fine.

Yes, they have changed it to this so atleast the engine size was right. Just waiting for new docs to come. I was also wangling for a ££ saving as its lost 100cc's but no such luck. Not a penny!! Rolling with laughter

Although I haven't insured a Land Rover with the NFU, yet, I have been using them for car, house and caravan insurance for a number of years and cannot fault the service.

That said I use probabley the smallest NFU office in the country and they only have 4 staff so if I have any queries I just ask to speak to the boss.

Just incase anyone is interested the office I use is Horncastle in Lincolnshire and the head man there is Richard Evison.
