My 130, now daily cruiser, overlander to be
Hi all,

Just joined this folder mainly due to great examples how people changed there 130. (Jst, Andrews)
I bought this baby after selling my 1984 110 V8, it needed to be bigger... the wife said...

So far...

Bought a 2011 defender 130 2.4, 270000km (quite some mileage but therefore not too expensive)

Updated:
- dual battery
- retrim seats
- changed from manual to auto gearbox, Ashcroft kit
- new shocks and steering damper (terrafirma adjustable)
- double din radio including camera
- a-frame

Maintenance:
- regular oils
- replaced leaking oil cooler water piece
- leaking breather hose fuel tank
- tyres
- pitman arm ball joint

To do:
- make it a ‘SW’
- gullwing
- rollcage
- winch
- ...

Looks really good, always a fan of the red defenders and especially as a 130 it just looks right

Take it the auto is the 4speed ZF option?

Thanks, yes auto is 4speed zf, electronic control via compushift.
Beginning getting right shift pattern is a bit of a hassle but aschcroft helped me to set it right.
