For what it’s worth, I really like Moondust Silver Thumbs Up

Shocked oh no. are you talking from experience / having seen in the flesh or going by the Ford promotional pictures?

Thumbs Up

No, we have had two cars in Moondust Silver and I have seen the odd Transit in it and I really like it.

Hard to find a Transit that isn’t white Rolling with laughter

Colours are such a personal thing. I had a yellow Fiesta. Greatest car I have ever owned. I wouldn’t recommend the colour though Laughing

Thumbs Up wife just backed up your comments too so looks like Moondust is back on Mr. Green

its all a little late now but does anyone know what I should be expecting in terms of taxation.
so I've gone for the double cab in van option. my understanding is this is a fully fledged commercial vehicle but someone suggested the other day this is seen as a benefit in kind similar to a company car - is that so?

Not sure what exactly the rules are, usually just get the accountant to approve my daft purchases.
To qualify as a commercial on a crew/double cab is the actual payload it needs to be rated to carry just over a ton in the load area.
It also depends upon the actual use of the vehicle. If it’s a genuine work vehicle for the purpose of carrying out your services you offer. You get the BIK based upon it being a commercial vehicle.
If it’s just to try and get the lower rate for no valid reasons you usually get the bigger bill!

So it depends on it’s actual use?

I'm expecting delivery of a new 170ps auti dciv Active spec in white hopefully this month. Mr. Green

Active spec is basically SUV styling on the exterior, grill, front "skid plate", side steps, roof rails and a protective bottom mould/ wheel arches.

2 front captain seats and a 3 bench in the rear. Part leather.

I've had a few dciv customs before and I just can't get away from how good they are.

I was hoping to get a magnetic grey one however it fell through and only white was available however I think it wears it well unlike the Standard limited van.

i completely agree.

I went with the moondust silver and kept getting reminded I should have gone with the magnetic grey.
I'm sure you'll be pleased with it.

if you figure out how to use the 'intelligent' cruise control perhaps you'd let me know. Intelligent is the very last word that comes to mind when I use it. Neutral

It has been a year since I have been in one so I'm not sure off hand I need to get reacquainted.
my last one was a magnetic limited it was a easily scratched colour.

not tried to run it dry yet but getting a nice 47.5 mpg over the last 3.5k miles Thumbs Up

can defo get more but I've been using the adaptive cruise control which is in my opinion rubbish but better than the 'intelligent' cruise control which is shockingly bad so far as I'm concerned.

I reckon without too much effort I could get 50 mpg over a tank full. Mr. Green

My brother is eagerly awaiting his Custom Trail to arrive at the dealers, I think it’s a 170ps L2 H1. It should now be built though delivery to the dealer is 18th December. He’s had his current Transit for 10 years, it’s now 12 years old so I think this Custom being his first brand new van will have to last at least 15 years Laughing

To be honest I’d take one myself, though no real need for one. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

My one came but I got a surprise upgrade with the colour.
Not as nice to drive as my previous 185 auto that 15ps makes alot of difference and I'm sure they gearing.g is lower on this 170ps.
Also the bigger wheels are no where near as smooth as the limited spec 16" ones it's old a bit twitchy compared .
For me atm the dciv custom is best family car I could have.
If I was getting another one it would be 185ps auto in limited spec they are a all round better driver with the smaller wheels ect.
