Retro Fit Adaptive Cruise Control Defender 2020, POSSIBLE??
It´s Possible To Retro Fit Adaptive Cruise Control To Land Rover Defender 2020!!
it seems that again, with simple activations, expensive options are obtained as it happened in the D3? really?

He's being very coy about how he enabled that - presumably because LR has given him loads of stuff to try out, or at the very least he got it at cost. But very interesting (as the owner-in-waiting of a car without this option ticked) Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

He didn’t try out the queue assist! I was using it today and it’s really good. Quite scary at first and I have to admit, my foot was hovering over the brake, but it worked.

Has anyone had the balls to try out the emergency braking? 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

I'm reminded of the very public fail of this technology a few years back by another manufacturer.... Neutral

"powerfulukltd SAYS:

I am not going to publish instructions on this - but it is a questions of changing certain CCF files ( car configuration files ).
This used to be possible with the IID tool on older models but the IID tool does not support the new models ( 2017 on )"

it's nothing new ... but ...as we say around here: he throws the stone and hides his hand !! Evil or Very Mad

Their website disagrees and says they’ll be bringing it to market soon:

Isn't there also a potential issue with SOTA - if the CCF is validated and found to be different from that held by JLR could the new software overwrite it back again or simply refuse the subsequent software upload?

Once out of warranty and update scope though it presents a number of options.

For example I’d like to enable Terrain Response 2 which is apparently just a software change. But not until it’s out of warranty in 3 years.

I accidentally tried it out when I was too busy looking in the fancy rear view mirror in the courtesy Defender I had and a van slammed the anchors on in front of me. VERY effective. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

It certainly sounds like there's an issue with the dealer; but I'm not clear how using software/IP that you have not paid for from JLR gets back at the dealer.?

I'm wondering whether this will be another video taken down after JLR corporate get involved.

I thinking the opposite once JLR see this and because of who Simon is and what he does for the brand they will get onto the dealership to sort his Wade sensing out. He’s got 85k followers on YouTube and now it’s a big topic on social media.
