My Defender 90 Hard Top. Order update...

During our discussion, It would be my understanding that the 21MY ordering is now closed. So, looks like I am now waiting a new build slot for 22MY. Purchase price has been protected and I can add other options if they are made available for the MY 22 90 Hard Top, such as, air suspension, upgraded sound system. With a build date of 19/2/21 - are you sure it has not been built?

I would ask your dealer to check the system, as said, it’s probably built. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

As per my other posts from a few weeks ago, I was chasing my dealership to see when my new build slot would be allocated.
I was told a few weeks back that my build slot for 19th February was "un-slotted" and they would not give me a new build date. Hence the new post to see if anyone that ordered after 2 Oct 21, is still due their Defender as per their original build schedule? I had a long call with JLR Hendy Group and they essentially had no information they could give me for the delay in my Defender being built, apart from what I have stated in my original post. |

Mine was ordered Mid November - but dont think the dealership submitted the actual order until End Nov - early December

I’ve had no proactive contact from my dealer, but after reading the MY22 stuff on here, I asked for an update. They say they know nothing about a MY22 (but they would, wouldn’t they if if it had any prospect of me cancelling my order). Here’s the Vista screenshot for my order - still planned for delivery 9th April, with a build date of 19th March.
It’s a 110 D200 Base model with a few options. I ordered on 21st Jan, but from what I understand I jumped on to a build slot that the dealer had submitted at the beginning of Dec 20.  |

ive ordered pretty much the same, minus off road pack
build date was the 12th feb - and build has been confirmed by dealer, delivery to them should on the 5th march I suspect yours has been built, dealer said mine was allocated a chassis number at 11.20 am on the 12th, and that usually happens once its a physical vehicle off the line |

I have ordered mine (110 HSE D300) also at the same time
My dealer said delivery should be finally on 2th of April, but no guarantee...  |

Dealership rang last week and this week.
Mine will now be a MY22 and awaiting a new build slot. As of this Tuesday, no new build slot allocated. Also on Tuesday the online configurator for the MY22 commercial was not live. It is now live and no new options for the 90 Hard Top. At least I can still get what I ordered. I will provide an update on here. |

I think the main changes for the 90 HT are you can now spec the premium LED lights, interactive driver display is now a £500 instead of £300 option, Can't remember if keyless was an option before but it is definitely now along with activity key.
Still can't get a leather steering wheel without getting the cold weather pack. Still can't spec air suspension. I may have spent WAY too much time on the configurator lately..... https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews |

Anyone been on the D5 site to see if it’s just Defender affected? If no delays to D5s then you lot are deffo being discriminated against.
And don’t forget to take a brave pill before heading over, just in case you see a pic!  |
