Anyone know what this is for
Would any of you caravan enthusiasts happen to know what this is by any chance.
It seems to be two 7 pin caravan sockets back to back with a 3 position switch on the side. I seem to have acquired it some years ago but have no idea of it's purpose.

It's an in line fuse/surge protection device to protect your electrics from possible spikes in the electrical network when you plug into site mains.

That's an interesting explanation. I don't suppose you could tell me how it is to be used, I seem to be missing something somewhere. In particular what is the 3 position switch used for.

How does that work?
The site mains are 240v 3 pin circular plugs so how do two back to back 7 pin towing plugs come into it?
Sorry I must be thick, been towing caravans for years, are you saying it is if the caravan electrics are still connected to the car when you plug the site mains in? Confused
Cheers. 04' 90 Td5 CSW..
