Hi,
Spotted that in January, bought & fitted @ PDI on our 90. Beware, it’s a pack but the parts team have to order it as two parts and the load mat was about a month later than the floor mats in arriving at the dealer. The interior protection pack on the configurator is misleading
Option Price listed at £273, then when you expand the “additional changes required” you are informed that the deep rubber mats are also added at a further £174. Total price therefore £447 
Click image to enlarge That makes no sense so I dropped it from my build. I’ll wait for both to appear “for sale” closer to delivery  although with the boot mat listed in the accessories price list at £145 the 15% off makes it better value at £123.75

What happened to the old days when a Defender owner would cut up a piece of tarpaulin for load space protection and cut up some stable matting for car mats.......you youngsters........

I've had a 4x4ft sheet of butyl pond liner for years which has served as load space protection on various vehicles, its got to the point now that the punctures are reducing its ability to repeal spilt liquid - might put it under the load space protection mat Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history) |

Extra man points for breaking out the bicycle puncture repair kit and fixing it with a few patches? |

Sadly not, it was removed from the back of various sheds and taken to the tip.
Plenty more junk still there in the ‘may be useful some day’ piles though. |

Interesting that the rubber boot mat now has a fabric bumper protector that folds under the mat when not in use. My mat,which was supplied last June, doesn’t even have any way to attach the fabric bit to. Not that I really need the bumper protector as so far the local dump hasn’t re-opened and I’ll have so much to take to it I’ll use my trailer instead and I don’t own any dogs yet. And the amount of junk to dump would mean 3 or 4 trips in my 90 Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |
