United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
I raised my seats by about 20mm using nylon spacers bought on fleabay (pennies each, they were seat spacers for kit cars). As DF1 says the bolts are M8. The original ones are specials with 10mm hex washer heads, but there is no reason why you can't use bog standard M8 13mm hex head, or hex socket cap head. Standard HT (grade 8.Cool is perfectly adequate since none of the restrains system is attached to the seat.

Total cost for me was about £5.

I know it's an old thread BUT:

Just had a thought on this today.

Is there any reason why we can't just put 2 grinder cuts in the lip upstand where the seat rail slides back ?

Then tap down theses two 2 inch wide sections flat.

Save raising the seats - I think it makes looking out the side windows a bit awkward when raised.
